DRAKE AND THE U.S.A. TOP ILLEGAL DOWNLOAD ‘CHARTS’

Canadian rapper, Drake has helped the U.S.A. top the charts when it comes to illegal downloads through BitTorrent. A report revealed that the United States is the number-one location for illegal downloads, with nearly 97 million files shared over the last six months. Of these 97 million shared files, Drake’s single ‘The Motto’ racked up 458,038 downloads, making him the most illegally shared artist in America.

Coming in second in the illegal download charts were the United Kingdom, with Ed Sheeran being the most frequent illegally shared artist. Italy and Canada were close behind The UK for illegal file shares. Meanwhile, France, who just last week arrested their first illegal downloader under the controversial Hadopi Law, came in ninth.
