Sources say that Gucci Mane may have been dropped by Atlantic records following his recent Twitter rants. A former rep for the label has said that the rapper is no longer part of the Atlantic records roster, stating, “He’s not with Atlantic anymore.” Adding further credibility to the gossip is the fact that Gucci Mane is not listed on Atlantic Records’ official website. The rapper is also said to have parted ways with his manager, Coach K, as rumor says the pair have not been on good terms for some time.
It seems that Gucci Mane’s Twitter tirade has cost him dear, however, the rapper seemed to suggest that his account had been hacked. Gucci retweeted a message from fellow rapper, Young Throwback claiming that the series of tweets aimed at several other rap stars were the result of his being hacked.
Young Throwback tweeted (and Gucci Mane retweeted):
“@gucci1017. Eh this gucci brother sum1 hack brah twitter. Yall tr y sabotage brah. Dat messed up let gucci b. GOD kno d truth. Hackers”
“#guwop dnt know if its a mad artist or ex-girl friend …dz folks evil. @gucci1017.”
OK, so Gucci Mane may have had his Twitter account hacked, but we have to wonder why there seem to be so many people going around ‘hacking’ the accounts of these celebs, and why those who get hacked always seem to be the type of people who would start running their mouths online anyway? Like, when was the last time the Pope got hacked and went on the rampage… just saying?
We have always heard that Gucci Mane is difficult to work with, and are not the least bit shocked that he was dropped…now he can stop putting out garbage.
