MIKE TYSON: HOLYFIELD’S EAR “WASN’T TOO TASTY”
Mike Tyson stepped further into boxing infamy when he bit off a portion of Evander Holyfield’s ear during a heavyweight championship rematch 15-years ago. However, the topic is far from just history as ‘Watch What Happens’ Live’ host, Andy Cohen asked Tyson about the incident. Cohen asked Tyson, “What does an ear taste like?” to which the former heavy-weight boxing champ replied, “Well, that depends,” pausing, “It depends on which ear you bite. But since I bit Holyfield’s ear – and it didn’t have any of that Holyfield Hot Sauce on it – it wasn’t too tasty.” He then joked that if the sauce had been added, “That would have been a delicacy!”
In fact, the joking was all in good spirits, and Holyfield was in on it too, having swapped jokes with Tyson and together promoted Holyfield’s new sauce to commemorate the anniversary of the infamous ear-bite. Holyfield tweeted, “My realdealbbqsauce.com will make u wanna take a bite out of someone’s ear! Ask @MikeTyson – Luv ya bro!” It seems that Tyson agreed!
