As summer quickly passes us by, it is almost time to put away the bikinis and flip-flops and begin preparing for the hottest fashions for this Fall. Here are some of the looks you should be keeping an eye on the next time you go shopping!

There are lots of styles to choose from in the outerwear section. First, there are the cozy knit sweaters, which are going to be great for layering this Fall. The knit sweaters are very easy to find in stores like J. Crew and even your local thrift store.

Military Jackets are also in! These jackets are cropped and fitted with four utility pockets to store whatever you need. This is a great choice of outerwear if you live in an area that may be too warm for the knit sweaters.

Graphic sweaters that make a statement are also going to be huge this Fall. These sweaters are great for going casual, but can be dressed up nicely with a flowing skirt and ankle boot.

The pants that will be hot this fall are called panel pants. Panel pants are a great high-fashion piece that a give a nice slimming look. These pants are great when paired with a flowing blouse (may be tucked in) and a blazer.

When it comes to dresses, it’s all about being noticed!
One of the looks that is definitely in, is the embellished sheers look, which is a bit risqué, but great for a night on the town. Tiny studs, lace, and other embellishments will make the dress really pop!

It seems that Angelina Jolie made a huge statement with her high slit Oscar dress this past year, because high slit skirts are in for this Fall! The skirt or dress flows to the floor while a thigh-grazing slit gives the outfit a playful feel.

Another dress that will be great for a night on the town is the Asian-dress, which comes in many different styles and textures. The traditional silk, box-like, kimono style, or the velvet body-hugging one-piece will both be great looks during this holiday season.

The colors, patterns, and textures that are in style this Fall are very easy to follow.
For patterns, don’t be afraid to do one pattern from head to toe this season! However, it is really important to have at least two items in the wardrobe that are print-free, like shoes and/or your handbag.

For colors, it seems that the all-white look is definitely in! For this look, it’s important to accessorize with a non-white color, as well as wearing non-white shoes.

Just because Spring and Summer will have passed, it does not mean that we have to ditch the bright colors! When wearing a bright color in colder seasons, one needs to balance that color with a nice amount of black. A good way to add black can be with black tights or black accessories. It is important not to have too much bright color or too much black on at once. The ratio should be balanced.

Wine colors such as a deep burgundy will also be in.

This fall, incorporating a few different textures in one outfit is very in! One should not leave the house dressed in an outfit made of only one texture. When combining different textures, let the luxe piece, like angora, stand out and accentuate the look with a separate piece of a different texture.

Metallic leathers are also a hot look for this fall.

As easy as it may be to play it safe, this fall is all about taking fashion risks and being confident about what you’re wearing.
