Purpose – Are You Living With It?
OK, so I will admit that I have been watching the OWN Network’s Life Class Tour, and have been enjoying the enlightenment that comes along with what many of the speakers have verbalized over each of the episodes. I particularly enjoyed the episodes that included motivational speaker Tony Robbins (@tonyrobbins) and Bishop T.D. Jakes (@bishopjakes) of the Potter House Ministry.
At Popculturez.com, in addition to giving you the latest news and entertainment, we want to ensure that each person who touches down on this website gets some sort of food for thought to leave with. There is nothing like being equipped with the necessary tools to live a life of greatness and purpose. Anyone can report news and gossip, but in the end, it’s about balancing it out with things that will alter our real lives in a positive way.
I remember coming up as a journalist, starting out as a freelancer, which meant that I also had to get a job in Corporate America to sustain me, because I was fresh out of college. I took a job at a large insurance company, while freelancing in the evening. I despised working at the insurance company, because I knew that for the first time in my life, I was not doing what I knew my calling was. It was all about just acquiring a paycheck, and not about making a deposit into my ‘soul bank.’ My ‘soul bank’ was empty. It was a miserable time in my life, because I had the financial stability that I needed to maintain my physical life, but mentally, I’d checked out. It is at that moment that I had to decide on which was most important to me, because I truly was not living my full purpose within the ‘Corporate America’ position. I was still freelancing, but my daytime job affected my writing. Needless to say, in the end, I left my nice salary at the insurance company, and have not looked back since. Continuing on with my purpose has been so rewarding, rather than being in a position where I lacked passion, and we know that passion brings about purpose. No matter how big or small your passion is; it defines how purposeful your life will be.
Now I pose the question to you, are you living with purpose? Have you followed your path of destiny, and do you see your passion, ultimately leading to your life of purpose? We would love to hear from you, please send us an e-mail at editorials@popculturez.com!
If you have an amazing editorial that you would like to share with our readership, please send an e-mail to us at editorials@popculturez.com for consideration.

This article opened my eyes that I am not happy anymore with the path that I chose. Being a teacher is not what I want. Cooking is my passion and I want to pursue it. Thank you Kay.
We have the same situation Kay but I can’t leave my job. I am a single mom of my daughter, Cath. As much as I want to follow your footsteps Kay but this is my only means of living. So I guess I am still living my purpose in life for my daughter.
